I just wonder, is there a way to study the Hong Kong work culture?

Bosses know little. They like to be flattered. People get promoted the fastest if they are good at flattering the bosses.

Few people go to work to work. Most people go to work to play office politics. They stay away from work and make those few people who are willing to work to work. They pretend to be busy by walking around to tell everyone that they are busy. They sit in the office to OT to pretend that they have a lot of work to do.

1. Is this biology or environment? Are these people born with the lazy trait? Or do they learn to have the lazy behaviors?

2. How do the bosses become bosses themselves? How are they promoted to their positions when they don't seem to have any integrity? Are they promoted because they are good flatterers themselves?

I just want to go to work to work. Perhaps this is already an ideal...
